Bailie Uppena, Reporter
My name is Bailie Uppena, and I’m a senior here at Waukee. I like to write and take pictures, so I thought this class would be right up my alley. It’s my first year in Publications, but only because I moved here too late sophomore year to apply for the class. In addition to writing, I love volleyball. Unfortunately, my final season has ended and I don’t know what to do with myself. After years of volleyball every night and tournaments nearly every weekend, I feel like a lazy bum with nothing to do, except work. You can find my (usually) cheery face at Fareway checking out groceries and attempting to make people’s days. As much as I love working at Fareway, I’m not so sure that’s what I’ll be doing for the rest of my life. Although I am a senior and should have everything figured out by now, I’ve got no idea where I’m headed after high school. I’m starting out as a Marketing major but still undecided as to where I want to pursue my degree. People have been telling me since eighth grade that I’ve got time, but it’s scary to think that my time is dwindling quick.
