Beerbongs and Bentleys Review

May 4, 2018

Following his debut album, ‘Stoney,’ Post Malone is back with his sophomore project, ‘Beerbongs and Bentleys.’ The album features 18 tracks, and according to the Apple music description, embodies the lifestyle of living in the high-life. Post Malone exploded in late 2015 with his hit single, ‘White Iverson.’ It attracted over 550 million views and counting. The hit provided Post with a solid fan base, consisting of young listeners. Senior Cole Ballard commented, “My favorite song is ‘Otherside,’ it’s just a good vibe song.”

Despite Post Malone’s success and raging popularity, some hip-hop fans ridicule the new album. Aldin Hodzic said, “Post Malone is the most mainstream garbage artist that I have ever heard. He’s just trash, and a bunch of stupid little white girls listen to him. I don’t vibe to his music because it’s garbage, it’s trash, it’s bunk.”

Other students had mixed feelings regarding the mixtape. Junior Elena Wiese felt that a lot of the songs were similar between the new album, and Post Malone’s debut, ‘Stoney.’

Wiese claimed, “Some of the songs sounded the same as the ‘Stoney’ album.” She continued, “He has a good mix of style in his songs, and I just think he is really popular right now. So everyone is like ‘oh my gosh,’ and I like him too.” Nonetheless, Post Malone has increased overall in popularity. Post will be an artist to watch in upcoming years.
